MEMORY OF NOW – POEM

MEMORY OF NOW banners image 1

By Luke Openshaw

You remind me kindly of a girl I used to know

The same beautiful eyes

The same radiant glow.

You refuse to know me

You just say let me be

But there is something about your mystery

That tells me we have a history.

I know you must get this all the time

It is human nature and not a crime.

I will not linger and I am no creep

No wolf to stalk the flock of sheep.

I am not talking to you for my health

But I am more than happy to repeat myself,

You remind me kindly of a girl I used to know…
